New Year 2009

Days before the New Year's Eve, my mom and I were so busy collecting 13 kinds of fruit. I miss the crowded market in the Philippines where we make "tawad" or try to make the price lower. lol. Here, the markets were so peaceful. Only fellow Filipinos were rushing to buy this and that. There were some whites and other origins as well but Filipinos dominate the stores. lol.

We celebrated New Year's Eve here in our place. They came here from 8 o'clock onwards. We had lots of foods for Medya Noche. We watched the fireworks display in Sydney Darling Harbour on tv. We couldn't be bothered going to the venue because there were lots of people crowding there. lol. We welcomed the new year with laughter and screams. We shouted like as if we're sending the bad spirits away and welcoming good vibes.^^

Having a terribly huge family like mine was so fun. We didn't have games that time but we had sparklers. I missed the fire crackers in the Philippines. But to be positive, I think it's better here because the welcome of 2009 was peaceful and SAFE. lol. No stray bullets. No fire crackers. lol. No Watusi, Piccolo and etc. ^^

I didn't drink. lol. I keep my words. lol.

Goodbye 2008. I thank God for showering us blessings and most especially, for giving me a happy family and a new set of good friends.

Welcome 2009. :))
